Quality of business management, survival of businesses in times of crisis, survival of industrial companies in a turbulent market through discomfort management
The 21st century presents unprecedented challenges and opportunities for industrial organizations. Rapid technological advancements, globalization, climate change, major changes in business practices, and shifting consumer expectations, in addition to much bigger, complex, and most importantly, multidisciplinary projects, cause a tremendous impact on how organizations are managed. This article’s contribution primarily focuses on contemporary management, its characteristics, features, and some of its differences from classical management of the 20th century. In the limited space, we describe some important principles on which current management should be built so that companies can successfully face the complex situation in the global market and maintain and strengthen their competitiveness. This article also explores the evolving nature of strategic management in this dynamic context, examining key shifts in strategic thinking, the rise of new strategic approaches, and the critical role of foresight and adaptability.

Properties of Selected Additive Materials Used to Increase the Lifetime of Tools for Crushing Unwanted Growths Using Hardfacing by Welding Technology
This article focuses on the possibilities of increasing the service life of tools for crushing unwanted growths. One way to increase their service life is to increase the hardness and resistance to abrasive wear of exposed surfaces of the tool, which are their face and back. At the same time, however, care must be taken to ensure that the shape and weight of the tool is not altered after the additive has been hardfaced on. Thus, the tool was first modified by removing the material by milling from the face and back. Subsequently, two surfacing materials, namely UTP 690 and OK WearTrode 55, were chosen and hardfaced by welding onto the pre-prepared surfaces. After hardfacing by welding, the tools were ground to their original shape and their weight was measured. Subsequently, the tool was sawn, and specimens were created for Rockwell hardness evaluation, material microstructure and for abrasive wear resistance testing as per ASTM G133-95. The OK WearTrode 55 electrode is a hardfacing electrode that produces weld metal with a high-volume fraction of fine carbides in a martensitic matrix. Better results were achieved by the UTP 690 hardfacing material. The hardness was 3.1 times higher compared to the base tool material 16MnCr5 and 1.2 times higher than the OK WearTrode 55 material. The abrasive wear resistance was 2.76 times higher compared to 16MnCr5, and 1.14 times higher compared to the OK WearTrode 55 material. The choice of a suitable pre-treatment for the tool and the selection and application of such additional material, which with its complex properties better resists the effects of the working environment, is a prerequisite for increasing the service life of tools working in forestry.

Identification of the Production of Small Holes and Threads Using Progressive Technologies in Austenite Stainless Steel 1.4301
This article focuses on the technologies used by a manufacturing company to produce threads in chrome–nickel steel 1.4301 at specific sheet thicknesses. To enhance production quality, two specific technologies were chosen for hole formation, considering the requirements of the company. Both conventional drilling and nonconventional laser cutting methods were evaluated as potential techniques for hole production. Conventional thread-cutting technology and progressive forming technology were employed to create metric internal threads. The aim of integrating these diverse technologies is to identify the optimal solution for a specific sheet thickness in order to prevent the occurrence of defective threads that could not fulfil the intended purpose. The evaluation of the threads and holes relies on the examination of surface characteristics, such as the quality of the surface, as well as the lack of any signs of damage, cracks, or burrs. Furthermore, residual stresses in the surface layer were monitored because these stresses have the potential to cause cracking. Additionally, extensive monitoring was performed to guarantee that the form and size of the manufactured threads were correct to ensure smooth assembly and optimal functionality.

Evaluation of the Influence of Process Parameters on the Mechanical Properties of Castings during High Pressure Die Casting
The article is devoted to the influence of mold filling parameters by the HPDC-High Pressure Die Casting method on the mechanical and structural properties of castings intended for technology and mechanization means in forestry. Three groups of AlSi10MnMg alloy samples were formed for the experiment. Three different settings of mold cavity filling parameters were chosen. Two castings were made from each setting. Two samples were taken from two places on the casts. Thus, 12 pieces of samples were used for the experiment. An analysis of their mechanical properties was performed using a static tensile test. tensile strength, yield strength and ductility were evaluated. The microstructure was evaluated by light optical microscopy. The influence of process parameters on the quality of the casting was monitored from the point of view of the occurrence of errors, defects and the method and size of the exclusion of structural phases. The experimental results showed that the best results were obtained when the process parameters of the first group of samples were set. Their values are the closest to the customer's requirements.
