A Systematic Review of Safety-Driven Approaches in Human–Robot Collaborative Systems
Collaboration between humans and robots (HRC) is advancing rapidly due to the intersection of robotics and generative artificial intelligence (GenAI). The current paper includes a systematic review of 103 studies on the role of generative models, including Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs), Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), diffusion models, and Large Language Models (LLMs) in improving the safety, trust, and adaptability of collaborative robotics using a PRISMA-based systematic approach. The review recognizes four major themed areas of GenAI-based safety frameworks—namely, data-driven simulation to synthesize hazards, predictive reasoning to forecast human motion, adaptive control to reduce risks dynamically, and trust-aware cognition to explain human–robot interaction. Findings indicate that generative models transform robotic safety from a reactive mechanism to proactive, contextual and interpretable systems. Nevertheless, real-time performance, interpretability, standard benchmarking, and ethical assurance are still some of the challenges to be overcome. The paper proposes a taxonomy linking generative modeling layers and physical, cognitive and ethical aspects of HRC safety, and gives a roadmap of certifiable hybrid systems with generative foresight and deterministic control. This synthesis provides a foundation for developing transparent, adaptive, and trustworthy collaborative robotic systems.

Effects of Posture Orientation and Vibration on Trunk Muscles for Bike Riders Using Electromyography
Daily commute on bike has proven to be an economical way of transportation in many countries. Muscle fatigue significantly contributes to lower back pain and injuries, particularly among motorbike riders. This study focuses on investigating the phenomenon of muscle fatigue utilizing electromyography (EMG) to analyze and understand the impact of muscle fatigue on two major muscles responsible for maintaining posture while riding a bike. The mean power frequency is used as a measuring index, which indicates muscle fatigue. To evaluate the influence of different factors, the study focuses on two distinct trunk orientations: 90° and 60°. These orientations are chosen to simulate common riding positions adopted by motorbike riders. Additionally, the study examines the impact of vibration on muscle fatigue by comparing conditions with and without vibration. It is observed that the vibration and the 60-degree trunk angle are significant factors in inducing fatigue, as evidenced by a greater slowdown of mean power frequency for both the erector spinae and multifidus muscles (P

A COVID-19 Supply Chain Management Strategy Based on Variable Production under Uncertain Environment Conditions
The management of a controllable production in the manufacturing system is essential to achieve viable advantages, particularly during emergency conditions. Disasters, either man-made or natural, affect production and supply chains negatively with perilous effects. On the other hand, flexibility and resilience to manage the perpetuated risks in a manufacturing system are vital for achieving a controllable production rate. Still, these performances are strongly dependent on the multi-criteria decision making in the working environment with the policies launched during the crisis. Undoubtedly, health stability in a society generates ripple effects in the supply chain due to high demand fluctuation, likewise due to the Coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Incorporation of dependent demand factors to manage the risk from uncertainty during this pandemic has been a challenge to achieve a viable profit for the supply chain partners. A non-linear supply chain management model is developed with a controllable production rate to provide an economic benefit to the manufacturing firm in terms of the optimized total cost of production and to deal with the different situations under variable demand. The costs in the model are set as fuzzy to cope up with the uncertain conditions created by lasting pandemic. A numerical experiment is performed by utilizing the data set of the multi-stage manufacturing firm. The optimal results provide support for the industrial managers based on the proactive plan by the optimal utilization of the resources and controllable production rate to cope with the emergencies in a pandemic.

A Simulation Based Study for Managing Hospital Resources by Reducing Patient Waiting Time
In Pakistan most of the local hospitals have limited resources and budget deficits to address day-to-day routine activities. This is further intensified by inefficient management of hospital resources. Hence, it is essential to efficiently manage hospital resource as it will lead to health care costs reduction and increased patient’s satisfaction. The focus of this research is to demonstrate the use of the tool in healthcare system, specifically in Pakistan, and balance the resources of a hospital, which will reduce the waiting time for the Outdoor Patients Departments. The resources at the Outdoor Patients Department including X-ray, Labs, Ultrasound and the ECG sections were included in the computer-based simulation model with the aim to find the bottleneck departments as they are the main cause of waiting time in the hospital. These bottlenecks are anticipated due to the lack of an optimized model, which has been addressed in this simulation. Based on the simulation study an optimized model is proposed to the hospital administration where the resources are readjusted resulting in the utilization of underutilized departments and decreasing the waiting time of the stations particularly the bottleneck stations. The motivation behind this research is to aid hospitals in better management of resources, which can ultimately improve customers (patients) satisfaction.

Sustainable Manufacturing and Parametric Analysis of Mild Steel Grade 60 by Deploying CNC Milling Machine and Taguchi Method
Design and manufacturing are the key steps in the sustainable manufacturing of any product to be produced. Within the perspective of injection molds production, increased competitiveness and repeated changes in the design require a complete optimized manufacturing process. Local and minor improvements in the milling process do not generally lead to an optimized manufacturing process. The goal of the new geometry and parametric analysis of the mould is to reduce the quality issues in mild steel grade 60. In this explicit research, the surface roughness (smoothness) of indigenously produced injection moulds in the local market in Pakistan is investigated. The CNC milling machine (five-axis) is used for the manufacturing of an injection mould, and the Taguchi method of the design of the experiment is applied for parameters optimization. Hence, the overall process is assisted in balancing the milling machine parameters to trim down the surface roughness issue in mild steel moulds and increase their sustainability. The spindle speed (rpm), the depth of cut (mm), and the feed rate (mm/rev) are considered as input variables for process optimization, and the experiments are performed on mild steel grade 60. It is deduced that the combination of a spindle speed of 800 rpm, feed rate of 10 mm/rev and depth of cut of 0.5 mm is the best case in case of minimum surface roughness, which leads to sustainable products. It is also deduced from ANOVA, that the spindle speed is a factor that affects the surface roughness of mild steel products, while the feed rate turns out to be insignificant.

Assessment of Whole Body and Local Muscle Fatigue Using Electromyography and a Perceived Exertion Scale for Squat Lifting
This research study aims at addressing the paradigm of whole body fatigue and local muscle fatigue detection for squat lifting. For this purpose, a comparison was made between perceived exertion with the heart rate and normalized mean power frequency (NMPF) of eight major muscles. The sample consisted of 25 healthy males (age: 30 ± 2.2 years). Borg’s CR-10 scale was used for perceived exertion for two segments of the body (lower and upper) and the whole body. The lower extremity of the body was observed to be dominant compared to the upper and whole body in perceived response. First mode of principal component analysis (PCA) was obtained through the covariance matrix for the eight muscles for 25 subjects for NMPF of eight muscles. The diagonal entries in the covariance matrix were observed for each muscle. The muscle with the highest absolute magnitude was observed across all the 25 subjects. The medial deltoid and the rectus femoris muscles were observed to have the highest frequency for each PCA across 25 subjects. The rectus femoris, having the highest counts in all subjects, validated that the lower extremity dominates the sense of whole body fatigue during squat lifting. The findings revealed that it is significant to take into account the relation between perceived and measured effort that can help prevent musculoskeletal disorders in repetitive occupational tasks.
