Digitalization in Mining and Mineral Processing – a New Solution for Potential Increasing the Metals Recovery
The paper deals with issues of increasing the recovery of useful copper minerals through the application of specific production scheme. A new model of production presented in the paper is connected with technology for monitoring and control of copper ore processing and is based on artificial intelligence. The technology operates at the copper flotation stage and consists of a vision system for analysis of flotation froth images. Image processing algorithms determine the characteristics of the froth and on that basis are capable of modifying and optimizing the flotation process course. The article characterizes the concept and expected outcomes resulting from the implementation of this technique.

Modeling Energetic Effectiveness and Breakage Intensity in Mining and Processing Circuits on Limestone Crushing in HPGR
This article refers to the aspects of energy consumption and comminution effectiveness in the mineral processing sector through the evaluation of limestone crushing in a high-pressure grinding roll. The investigative program included a series of crushing tests on limestone samples in a laboratory High Pressure Grinding Rolls (HPGR) press device. The tests were carried out in the scheme of factorial experiment with three levels of pressure (Fsp) and three levels of material moisture (M). The major finding was to determine energetic models referring to consumption of energy and reduction in Bond work index Wi, designed as a function of operational pressure in HPGR and material moisture. The other investigative results encompassed models on fineness effectiveness and throughput. The models appeared statistically significant and showed relationships both with pressure and moisture. The results of the investigations showed that Bond work index Wi decreases when the Fsp increases, but Wi increases as the moisture content decreases. The calculated models also showed an increase in unit energy consumption in the press together with increasing of Fsp and moisture. The models for throughput and finest particle content in HPGR product showed in turn that increasing of Fsp and M results in decreasing of the productivity.

Coal Modeling Investigations in International Collaboration in the Light of Bibliometric Analysis of the Problem
The article concerns an analysis of records registered in Web of Science (WoS) database related to the problem of coal modeling. All publications registered in the WoS from the time period 1951–2021 were analyzed, mostly in terms of international collaboration, merit content and research areas. It appeared that international scientific cooperation on this topic is differently considered, depending on the country. The leader in terms of the number of documents remains China, while the highest citation counts were gained by research teams, with the USA as the leader. Several sub-categories within research areas could be also divided on the basis of key words, while the most popular topic is connected with energetical aspects of coal utilization.

Assessment of Operational Effectiveness of Innovative Circuit for Production of Crushed Regular Aggregates in Particle Size Fraction 8–16 mm
The purpose of this paper is to analyze a modern and unique technological system producing common aggregates at the Imielin Dolomite Mine. The installation was built on the basis of inventions of AGH UST and consists of an impact crusher, innovative screens WSR and WSL, light fraction separator SEL and hard fraction separator SET, low-pressure hydrocyclone NHC and infrastructure. The study was carried out on the crusher and screen on the example of production of aggregates with grain size 8–16 mm from dolomite, granite, limestone, sandstone, and gravel. The results showed that cubic aggregates with a low content of irregular grains of less than 1% can be produced in this technological system.

Comparative Analysis of Dust and Noise Emission in Aggregate Production Systems
This paper concerns investigations on dust particles and noise emission in mineral aggregate production. Two technological circuits of aggregate production were under investigation. The first circuit was based on a two-stage screening system, while the other was designed on a basis of a patented solution of regular aggregate production. Results of investigations show that an innovative circuit allows for reduction of screening stages which results in shortening the entire circuit. The quality of obtained products is better, while the environmental footprint of the latter circuit is lower. Results of investigations showed that reduction both in terms of dust particle emission and in noise generation was achieved.
